Description

This interesting and anonymous hand-drawn map incorporates a variety of different cartographic elements such as urban planning, garden design, topographic data, and pictorial representation. The lack of any distinct labels or features like a distance scale or compass rose leads me to believe it was probably created as an educational tool to illustrate many different geographic features.

Signed ‘Scellier’ in the lower center and undated, but the paper composition and ink indicate it is likely early 19th century.
