This unique chart presenting the fifty United States of America was designed and published by H.L. Sunderlin in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1959.

That same year, Alaska and Hawaii were admitted as the 49th and 50th states to the union, respectively, and the circular diagram reflects an image of unity and equality. Radiating from the center are various facts and figures like area, population, state capital, nickname, motto, etc.

A neat and highly symbolic visualization of the U.S.A.
