Description
This interesting piece of promotional material was issued on a base map showing the global political and military situation as of about 1940, though Poland remains independent. However, as shown by the Allied for Liberty and Aggressor Nations, America had entered the war by the time of publication, thus dating the piece to late 1941 at the very earliest.
The map was prepared by the J.C. Hall Company exclusively for Hassenfeld Brothers, Inc., a school supply and toy company in Providence, Rhode Island. It would become famous for the Mr. Potato Head, and today the company is known as Hasbro.
