Description
This is an ephemeral re-issue of a 1944 Michelin map of western Germany, possibly used in the later years of the World War II or taken home as a souvenir. It covers the borders with France and the Low Countries to Czechoslovakia and Berlin. Primary motor routes are noted according to the legend in the corner, with distances between points noted in kilometers.
A useful guide for the thousands of Allied soldiers marching to defeat the Third Reich. Printed on ration or re-used paper, as the verso is a topographic map of central Scotland that has been crossed out with a large “X”.
