Description
This charming view of Nashville, Tennessee was designed and published as a souvenir in the mid-1990s by Citigraph, Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina. The city’s Broadway, Riverfront, 2nd Avenue, and District areas are shown in vibrant color and divided by wide and clearly labeled streets (suspiciously devoid of traffic).
Many of Nashville’s most iconic structures like the Ryman Auditorium, South Central Bell (AT&T Building), the State Capitol, and the Municipal Auditorium are immediately recognizable. Other highlights include the General Jackson riverboat, the Broadway dinner train, Fort Nashborough, and numerous caricatured figures. Dozens of advertisements are scattered throughout the image, offering a unique look into the popular region’s business economy during the period.
