Description
First opened in 1966, Angels Stadium of Anaheim is the fourth-oldest major league ball park in operation. The stadium is situated about 35 miles southwest of Los Angeles and, according to this map, only about a 34 minute drive from the Civic Center. A bold-faced lie, even in the best of traffic conditions!
It’s likely the brochure was issued to promote the first season played in the ‘new’ stadium (text on verso), but it’s undated. Freeways completed, under construction, and proposed are highlighted on a simple base map of southern California. The red circle is enlarged in the upper right inset which includes more detailed street directions, and a parking map can be seen immediately below.
The verso features a seating diagram, list of Angels radio stations, and advertisements for Chevron gasoline – standing “above all” in the marquee of the Angels Stadium distinctive “Big A” sign.
