Description

Six miles to the Hudson, six miles to the Sound, 22 miles to New York City, and 100 trains daily on the N.Y.C.R.R. – the city of White Plains has much to offer in terms of geographic accessibility. This ephemeral brochure was issued in 1924 by the local Chamber of Commerce to highlight the convenience and history of ‘A City of Homes.’

An illustrated bird’s eye view labels many notable structures, with photographs in the lower corners highlighting the imposing County Court House and Municipal Building. Text on the verso offers a description of the Battle of White Plains.
