Description
This charming view of Paris presents three elegantly dressed figures admiring the landscape of gardens, orchards, and vineyards on the city outskirts. The Seine flows lazily nearby, with the metropolis occupying both banks in the background.
Engraved by Proud and published in London for an edition of Drakes’ Voyages, probably around 1780 or 1790.

Condition Description: Narrow upper margin shows moderate wear and toning, including a few small tears, the largest of which (repaired on verso) just enters the neatline. Other wear in the margins, well away from the image. Good condition overall, with nice modern hand color. Blank on verso.
