Description

This brightly colored pictorial map of Dublin was designed by Jenico Marks in 1952, lithographed by Browne & Nolan, and published on College Green (Dublin) by Harpers Ltd. The image focuses on the center of the Irish capital, straddling the River Liffey, and presents a visual celebration of its long history.

Important events dating back to the 11th century are identified, along with notable residents, historic sites, and local legends. Twenty-five different buildings encompassing nearly 1,000 years of Irish history are numbered within and illustrated around the border.
