Description
Issued in the late 17th century by Herman Moll, this fascinating map shows the network of roads throughout England – all apparently emanating from London. Dozens of towns are crammed along each route; those with a market are indicated with a cross.
Mileage between each location is also helpfully provided, making this a surprisingly practical overview of the primary overland transportation system.
