Description
Treasure Island is a classic adventure novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson and first published as a book in 1883. The story follows the young Jim Hawkins as he embarks on a perilous maritime journey to find Captain Flint’s hidden treasure on a remote island; encountering adventure, pirates, and mutiny along the way.
This colorful map was illustrated by Walter Stewart and published mid-century, probably in a contemporary edition of the novel. A simple overview notes prominent landmarks like the blockhouse, Spyglass Hill, and the ‘X’ of the treasure site! Vignettes of the prominent characters include Jim Hawkins, Squire Trelawney, Captain Long John Silver, and Ben Gunn – the true finder of the treasure.
