Description

Home to the Indianapolis 500 since 1911, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the “Brickyard”, is an icon in the sport of racing. This map was originally drawn by Lee Carter around 1930 and shows the track and nearby Speedway golf course (which continued into the track’s infield) in quaint vintage detail. Text accompanying the map provides a detailed early history of the racetrack.

The sheet was published in 2011 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the speedway.
