Description
This vibrant pictorial map of Yellowstone National Park exhibits the characteristic style and humor of its publisher, the Lindgren-Turner Company. It’s one of several variations of ‘Hysterical’ maps drawn by Jolly Lindgren and issued between the early 1930’s and late 1950’s.
The ‘King-Size Map Card’ shows the park and nearby Jackson Hole, Wyoming with fun cartoons and whimsical figures in a variety of comedic situations. Topography and outdoor attractions are emphasized, especially by the tongue-in-cheek legend.
