This eye-catching overview of ‘The Most Magical Place on Earth’ provides a snapshot of Disney World from the late 1970s. It is one of the numerous updated editions sold as souvenirs in the park beginning earlier in the decade and continuing to this day.
A cartoon bird’s eye view outlines each of the six separate subregions in vibrant full color; Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Attractions, amenities, rides, and shops are individually illustrated and numbered (over 125 in all); each corresponding to the legends across the bottom of the page. Many of Disney’s most iconic characters can be seen along the top of the page.
Published by Walt Disney Productions in 1979, the same year that construction began on EPCOT.
