This entertaining little booklet provides brief summaries of a variety of code systems used in different applications all across the globe. International flags, Morse code, and semaphore are expected examples, but more unusual entries include referee hand signals, ciphers, and Native American sign language.
The book was written by Gordon Peterson and Marshall McClintock and published in 1942 by the Whitman Publishing Company of Racine, Wisconsin.

Condition Description: 62 pp. booklet, 5.25" x 3.25", bound in stiff paper covered boards. Spine is broken and repaired with old tape, resulting in the first 15 pages almost entirely separating. Numerous manuscript annotations from a previous owner on front and back endpapers, but otherwise contents are in good condition.
