This pictorial map of a ‘Weird World’ was illustrated by Peter Ledger and published by Marvel Comics Group in 1979 as part of an issue of Warriors of the Shadow Realm. The sporadically-published comic setting was originally written by Doug Moench and reflects a fantasy environment similar to the one created by J.R.R Tolkien.
Geographic features and primary settlements are illustrated and labeled throughout the image. Toponyms like City of the Damned, the Unknown Continent, and Goblin Spire give the audience some indication of the mysterious dangers that can be found within the covers.
