This informative double-sided map showing the world and Cuba was published in 1898, originally to accompany Our Great Work Book and History of Cuba by Trumbull White. A commercial work by the likes of Rand McNally or George Cram has been overprinted with red text to describe the association. One side of the sheet shows the island nation in the midst of its ongoing revolution with Spain. An inset of Havana is joined with a brief description of the government and armed forces. The verso presents a world map that notes steamship distances in bright red. Text and tables of statistics outline relevant historical information, military strength, and more.

Condition Description: Double-sided map with heavy wear along old folds, including about 8" of splits along the horizontal seam repairs on the verso with archival tape. A small hole and adjacent spot of discoloration near the center of the sheet. About good condition overall.
