Description
This informative report was published in the late 1930s and sold inexpensively (10 cents) to inform all interested readers of their federally protected rights granted by the recently enacted National Labor Relations Act. Not only does the 40+ pages provide a detailed overview of the new legislation, but it also offers instructions for union organizing, legal assistance (including example forms), and an overview of the NLRB. A centerfold map outlines the various regions (21 total), pinpointing their respective offices.
The map is signed IPEU in the lower left (for the International Photo-Engravers Union of North America), and the booklet was published around 1938 by the Legal Department of the Committee for Industrial Organization (CIO). A rubberstamp on the front cover indicates this example was sold or distributed in Portland by the American Radio Telegraphists Association.
