This unusual hand-drawn view presents what appears to be a rough draft of a large battlefield scene, with legions of shield-bearing soldiers (left) approaching the crest of a hill and whatever awaits beyond. A topographic component is sketched in the lower center. Signed Brian Smith and dated 1969.
