This colorful map presents the world created in Clive Barker’s young adult fiction series, Abarat (note the clever anagram in the title). Candy Quackenbush, the protagonist, reaches the fantastical archipelago in the first novel via the help of John Mischief. Each of Abarat’s 25 islands (one for each hour of the day, plus one extra) is illustrated by Barker and described in accompanying text. A reference key is provided in the lower center.
Published around 2002 by Joanna Cotler Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. The verso of the map features information about a contest to Walt Disney World.
