This ephemeral leaflet presents the United States as a biblically ordained nation, with the original Anglo-Saxon colonists acting as ‘the seed of Jacob’, according to the accompanying text. Further details are offered through America’s Promise Radio, the mouthpiece of Christian Identity minister and anti-Semite, Sheldon Emry.
The central map, on which the Holy Bible rains down on America, is signed in the lower right by Paul Bunch and dated 1972. The verso shows a date of Nov. 1, 1980, when it was presumably published in Phoenix by America’s Promise Radio. During this period, Emry was near the height of his influence – nearly 40 broadcasting stations are listed, with coverage across most of the United States and southern Canada.
