Description
This somewhat confusing anti-imperialist diagram provides tangible links between Boston’s foremost institutions of higher learning and various individuals and entities in government, finance, and major corporations. Laurence Rockefeller (board member, MIT) is presented as the ‘spider’ in the center of this web, “but Rockefeller lieutenants are all over this chart, as are Rockefeller-dominated firms.” Another case study, Lowell Tech, is provided to show that the problem is more widespread than just Boston.
The chart was published in October 1969 as the centerfold in Number 24 of The Old Mole, a self-described radical bi-weekly headquartered in Boston.
