Description

This street plan of Saigon (today’s Ho Chi Minh City), dated November 1964, was probably published locally by the Army Map Service for use by servicemembers stationed in and around the city. Primary transportation routes and geographic features are labeled amid small vignettes of major buildings like the National Museum (now the Museum of History) and the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica. A small addition in pen pinpoints the location of ‘OSM’. A map of Saigon and the vicinity, including Tan Son Nhut Air Base, can be found on the verso.
