Description
This eye-catching map of Maryland was designed by C.H. Waller and published by the state’s Conservation Department in 1939. A diverse array of geographic features including mountains, marshlands, coastal regions, and woodlands are displayed pictorially, with only a handful of urban centers like Baltimore and Washington, D.C. represented.
In a bid to lure potential hunters and anglers, dozens of vignettes showcase the myriad of small game and fish species available to outdoorsmen. Popular targets like deer and rabbit are shown alongside less-known quarries such as the snipe, muskrat, and ruffed grouse. Photographs, descriptive text, and a state transportation map are provided on the verso.

Condition Description: Creasing and moderate wear along originally issued fold lines, including wrinkling and several spots of clean separation. Small pinholes at fold intersections and a few small tears along the outer edges of the sheet, confined to the margins. Very good condition overall.
