This folding brochure was designed, published, and copywritten by the Automobile Association of Auckland around 1963, shortly after the township of Rotorua was formally established. The centerfold map highlights the primary transportation routes, buildings, and geologic composition of the region.

Thermal springs are dotted throughout and numerous locations of interest are labeled throughout the image. Numbers refer to various suggested itineraries on the verso.
