Description
This simple map of the United States presents a legible overview of the country’s natural gas pipelines across the 48 contiguous states. Existing, in progress, and proposed lines are all shown according to the legend in the lower right corner, while an index in the lower left lists the nearly 200 companies in operation throughout the industry.
The map was originally published in 1951 by Ford, Bacon, & Davis, Inc., but this example has been updated to 1954 by the American Gas Association. It was printed to accompany an instructional film titled, “NATURAL GAS – science behind your burner.”
