Description
This tongue-in-cheek pictorial map of the Underground Campus of U.C. Berkeley was published in the January 1949 issue of the California Engineer, an official journal published by students on campus. This particular edition is devoted to the Mad Engineer, and contains a number of articles and stories celebrating (or lamenting) the fine edge between insanity and genius across the department.
The centerfold is this wonderful map, rife with amusing cartoons and implied commentary on the subterranean happenings across campus.
