Description
This promotional brochure of San Francisco and the surrounding area was published in 1949 by the Gray Line to celebrate California’s 100th year of statehood. The primary image is a wonderful panorama which shows the Bay Area between Marin County and the Monterrey Peninsula, including Berkeley, Oakland, and Yosemite.
The routes of thirteen different bus tours operated by The Gray Line are outlined and identified in the accompanying legend. Additional text and photographs throughout the sheet provide further information on each tour and the luxurious accommodations available on The Gray Line fleet.
The tour company started operations in Washington, D.C. in 1910 and quickly expanded across the country. It remains in operation today, and Gray Line tours can be enjoyed around the world.

Condition Description: 8 panel brochure that measures approximately 15.75" x 17.75" when unfolded. Light creasing and faint wear along original fold lines, but otherwise in very good, or better condition. The highlight is a spectacular panorama of the San Francisco Bay Area, which measures half the total sheet (folded).
