Description

This far-out expose on the national policing of college campuses was designed by Mouse Studios and originally included in a 1967 edition of Esquire Magazine. Text on the left side outlines the harsh penalties for marijuana possession and outdated local laws on alcohol sales. Information on the ‘Hippie Hangouts’, the cost of an ounce of pot, and each university’s ‘Kick’ can also be found.

On the right side can be found “candid-camera glimpses of 1967 campus life that correspond to the accompanying narrative. When examined with the caption, these images provide a humorous contrast between the silent film-era photographs and modern-day Prohibition.
