Description

Opening in April, 1992, Euro Disneyland (Now Disneyland Paris) was the second Disney park to open outside the United States (the first being Tokyo in 1983). It’s shown here in its first season, with a dual-language dedication in the lower left provided by Chairman Michael Eisner. The layout mimics the parks found in the U.S., with a large Main Street flanked by Frontierland, Discoveryland, Adventureland, and Fantasyland.

Many attractions are illustrated (including a few that remain under construction), while others are labeled within the image. Portraits of Disney’s most recognizable characters can be seen in the border – a common feature on souvenir maps sold within the company’s’ parks since the late 1950’s.
