This wonderful road map of the American Southwest was designed by M.E. Brewster-Greene in 1926 and published by the Holbrook, Arizona Chamber of Commerce the following year. The image is carefully curated to depict Holbrook as a centralized spot for automobile touring across the region, with roads ‘from Kansas City to the coast’ shown converging on the small town, incorporated only a decade prior.

General information, a business directory, and information on the lumber industry all are provided, showing that Holbrook has everything needed by both a motorist and prospective resident. The image on the verso is even more convincing, and depicts the city as the central hub on a wheel connecting numerous National Parks and regional attractions.
