Description
Issued as a joint production between the Humble Oil Company and The Texas Historic Foundation, this map shows the locations of dozens of historic locations throughout the Lonestar state. Various sized circles note the sizes of different sites while small profiles of certain buildings are shown adjacent.
Illustrations in the negative space surrounding the map depict scenes from Texas past; including Spanish missions, powerful galleons in the Gulf Coast and pioneers along the trail. Text on the verso provides an index of the historical homes and buildings as well as a brief summary of Texas to the late 19th century.
